Espen Reinertsen is deeply embedded in the Norwegian creative music scene, performing with artists such as Jenny Hval, Toshimaru Nakamura, Christian Wallumrød and Jennifer Walshe, while also developing his own exploratory pop compositions both solo and in collaboration.
‘Venus er i håret’ is his third solo album, arriving nearly ten years after his previous solo release on Susanna Wallumrød’s SusannaSonata label. Tender and powerful, the album unfolds through beautiful digressions and compositional trustfalls. Melancholic in the truest sense of the word, Reinertsen’s songs are ruminative, enveloping and quietly uncanny.
